Yesterday I called my bear photographer buddy Paul Harding. We decided to take a run out to the Pocossin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and see what we could photograph. Of course being July it was so very hot and humid. Within minutes I was soaked in sweat! That is ok. I am always so happy to be in the company of bears and other photographers who share their love for the wonderful wildlife in Eastern North Carolina. This photograph of a bear emerging from a cornfield was a perfect capture. The sunlight illuminating the cornstalks made for great backlit subject. In a lot of my photographs I like to use software to enhance the effects and give my subjects some extra glow.
